Magora Project Fall 2025 Co-Lab:
Regenerative Building & Living Systems
November 3–16, 2025
Villa Magora, Terlingua, TX
Join us this fall for a two-week, hands-on natural building and living systems Co-Lab in the heart of the beautiful and rare Chihuahuan Desert, both a designated dark sky reserve and one of the most biodiverse deserts in the world. Here we’ll engage in natural building and living systems practices that foster resilient ecosystems and stronger communities at Magora and beyond.
Together, we’ll explore the foundations of hyperadobe natural building, ecological restoration, and community-based solutions that reconnect us with land, water, and each other. This isn’t just a workshop, it’s a collective effort to live and grow in community, laying the foundation for a more grounded, sustainable future.
Whether you’re new to natural building or already walking the path, this Co-Lab offers space for co-learning, contribution, and immersion in place-based practice. You’ll have the opportunity to form meaningful connections with like-minded individuals and gain life-long skills in natural building and conscious collaboration that you can bring back to your own community.
What to Expect:
Hands-on Hyperadobe building sessions
Interactive workshops on resource management, ecosystem restoration, and regenerative design
Communal cooking and shared meals prepared together
Camping (bring your own gear; a few bell tents available)
Evening campfires, storytelling, music, and discussion
A balanced daily rhythm: ~5 hours of work Monday through Friday, paced with time for rest, connection, and a midday pause or siesta to honor the desert heat and restore energy.
Daily check-in circles that center conscious communication, empower individuals to self-select daily contributions, and honor accessibility and all abilities.
We’re seeking participants who:
Value collaboration and hands-on learning
Are ready to show up with their hands, heart, and whole self
Want to co-create something meaningful, one moment at a time
Value and are committed to practicing conscious communication as a foundation for strong relationships and a healthy community.
Value land stewardship and restoration of ecosystems
